Shep

Shep, a Utah native, began his journey as a hairdresser in 1997. After graduating from cosmetology school Shep moved to Atlanta, Georgia and worked and trained at the prestigious Van Michael Salon. After being away for a time Shep decided to come back to Utah where he worked at a Provo salon for 3 years in preparation to opening Shep Studio in 2001. Continued education has always been vital to Shep's philosophy. He continues each year to take hands-on classes from many of the best haircutters on the planet. Shep has trained extensively at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles and San Francisco, Bumble and Bumble and Redken 5th ave. both in New York City, Toni and Guy in Dallas and in Los Angeles and most recently Zgat of Croatia, Allilon of London, Saco of London, Jeremy Davies Barballa of Norway and Mazella and Palmer of London, all at the Federico Advanced Academy in Sacramento California. Shep is a prominent hair cutting educator and holds weekly classes for his team as well as regularly teaching at local schools and salons. He continues to work full time behind the chair in addition to running the salon. Shep has a real passion for cycling and modern design and loves spending time with his wife, Tracy and their beautiful daughters Grace and Ava.
